To use all of the methods i will show you, you will need to know how to get your Blog Name URL to post to these methods.
The Blog or website's Name URL will be your complete web address.
You will see your web address in the browser bar. Your URL will look like this:

The most popular search engine is GOOGLE and it is absolutely free to post your content or article to Google.

Submit your Blog or site to GOOGLE
The most popular search engine is GOOGLE and it is absolutely free to post your content or article to Google.
The best way to get listed into GOOGLE's search directory is to use the GOOGLE Webmaster tool.
(1) Go to the GOOGLE Webmaster tool site HERE

(2) Log into GOOGLE Webmaster tools using the same username (e-mail) and password you used to sign up[ you can create an account with Google for free at the following site HERE.]
(3) After you are logged in, you will see the following: Click Here to add your site" - You will enter your blog or site's URL address in that box.
(4) After you have entered your URL address, click "ADD SITE" button.
(5) You will then select "Next Step - Verify Your Site"
(6) On the next page, you will then "Choose Verification Method" from drop down menu. Choose one method and follow the instructions.
The final step is to go back to your GOOGLE verification and click the "VERIFY" button. Google will then confirm your blog is verified and will be posted to their search engine.
Submitting your Blog or Website to Yahoo and Bing go to https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN2217.html
You have now submitted your blog or website to several search engines, including the major three. What happens from here is that your blog or website will get picked up by several hundred smaller search engines that feed off these major search engines, which in return will get you more exposure --- which means more traffic to your blog or website.
2 Use Facebook and other social media
You can advertise your site or blog to your friends on Facebook. Make sure to post to this social media as many times as possible in a day. It can be four, five or more times in a day. You must do this everyday.
3 Make Comments
You can also increase your traffic by making comments on websites or blogs that are on any search engine's first page or any blog/site that has a good page rank. After making the comment,go to autopinger.com or pingomatic.com to ping that particular page. That is,the site or blog's comment page. You will need to put the URL on the pinging site's form. You will see the URL of the comment's page on your browser.
You can also increase your traffic by making comments on websites or blogs that are on any search engine's first page or any blog/site that has a good page rank. After making the comment,go to autopinger.com or pingomatic.com to ping that particular page. That is,the site or blog's comment page. You will need to put the URL on the pinging site's form. You will see the URL of the comment's page on your browser.
4 Swapping Advert With Co- Bloggers - You can swap adverts with your co-bloggers. This is free since you are swapping ads.
5 Join Forums, hubpages, ehow, reddit and other social networks.
6 Guest post -- You can guest post for popular top blogs of the same niche as yours. Popular and Influential bloggers normally have lots of traffic. This method is not free. You will have to pay a particular amount.
When you become influential too, you can also adopt this method of making money.
7 Sponsored Post And Sponsored Media Post - Here, you pay influential bloggers with high traffic to write content about your blog or you give them your own write up about your own blog.
The influential blogger will then post this on his own blog together with your links and banners. You will also pay for this.
This is what you will do too when you become influential.
This type of marketing and advertising is super duper effective.
You will also pay for writing ad post on a popular blogger's social media group like Facebook Group. This is called sponsored media post.
8 Offer A Free Service -- Offer a free service like free online course, free tutorials, free ebooks and so on. Your traffic will gladly share this on their social media and bring more traffic for you.
9 Take count of your traffic - You can use these free services to know the number of visitors that click on your website or blog. These sites will take their count on a daily basis.
Know the number of traffic or people visiting your website or blog by signing up for Google analytics. Google search Google analytics. This is a free service and you will get to know where your traffic is coming from and so on.

Note -- After your blog or site is up, to get traffic,you can use all these methods or few that works for you. You must try to get information on Search Engine Optimization. They are important if you need free traffic and if you want your blog or site to get to Google's first page.
